VLOG My 2016: Highlights (Year in Review)

2016 is nearly over, so I decided to make a short video of all of the amazing things I've done this year. Included are clips from my 2 trips to California, my time at Disneyland, my first trip to the East Coast (Washington, D.C.), and lots of fun hikes and road trips.

Anyone Into Fitness on these forums? Or primarily Gaming?

I'm personally not huge into fitness, although I will start working out again. However, my brothers work out every day for 2-3 hours and we have been working on getting a new channel set up that would focus on fitness and also hiking (which is something I enjoy). I don't know when that will ever...

    Making a vlog alone

Do something fun that makes you talk and comment about your day. I'm not a very frequent vlogger, but when I do I'm usually hiking or going on a trip or something. Do something fun and simple that allows you to express your thoughts more freely. If you're just going to sit and talk about a...

    YouTube End Cards

Casey does such a good job with his end card. It really makes me jealous that I don't have that feature yet.

Why Is It Hard To Get Your First 100 Subscribers??

I agree with everything everyone has had so far. I've found it hard to reach 100 subscribers (which hasn't happened yet), but my channel goes through growth spurts and then periods of no growth. Even though I haven't found success in subscribers, I've found a few communities of really great...

VLOG The Fire Alarms Went Off at #CMADiversity

Hello everyone. It's been a while since I've been on here, but I'm back. This past weekend I attended the College Media Summit on Diversity & Inclusion at Oregon State University. This is a different type of video than I normally make. Do you guys like this style (if it was in focus)?

VLOG Our best video yet: Hiking Mount Rainier

Thank you for watching and giving us some feedback. I deliberately made sure that this video had no talking in it because I wanted it to be more like a short movie. I did also film a pure vlog version that was uploaded 1 or 2 days before this one. But, I do agree that most videos should have...

VLOG The Bluest Lake in the World! (Maybe?) North Cascades Roadtrip

Hello everyone. Justin and I have been working hard to try and get our channel back on track. Here's my most recent vlog, published today. It's pretty long and it's the first of a two-parter. I'd appreciate any feedback so that our next videos are better.

VLOG Our best video yet: Hiking Mount Rainier

Hey everyone! My brother and I have been busy working on new content. We've uploaded three videos this week and we're about to start on a few more this week. This is one of our resent videos and I think that it's our best so far. What do you think? Do you like the format? Any feedback will help us.

VLOG Alki Beach in SEATTLE is beautiful!

I just posted a new vlog on my channel. This is my first video using my new mic, and I think I still need to play with the settings because it doesn't sound as good as it should. If anyone has any tips, that would be great. It's a Shure Lenshopper VP83. This is also my first video to use...

    YouTube Views Milestone 1000 Views!

My brother and I finally reached 1000 views for our vlog/short film channel! I honestly didn't expect that we'd reach 1000 views before summer vacation started, but we did. It's really encouraging because we received 1000 views for videos that aren't really that good. As we move into the...

What's everyone's videos, like what do you do, live coms etc etc

My brother and I started out doing let's plays with commentary, but right now we're focusing on vlogging and brainstorming for short films because summer is coming.

    Best video editing software?

PowerDirector isn't the best editor out there, but it works perfectly with Elgato, especially if you export your gaming files with separate video and audio tracks.Plus, its relatively inexpensive.

What program do you use to make your thumbnail?

I use paint.net (free software) for my channel, but at work I use Adobe InDesign CS6. I think drawing is easier on InDesign than Photoshop. I haven't given Illustrator a try yet.
