Tips & Tricks Commentating behind gameplay?

Hey,

I was planning on creating videos for non-gaming related topics whilst using gameplay in the background, leaving my facecam videos to vlogs and such. Is this a good idea or do people not watch these?

As an example, LeafyIsHere does this. What are your thoughts?

A lot of people do it, it's becoming a sort of thing on YouTube nowadays. I say, go for it!

As a few of the above posters have said, lots of people are doing this on YT, though personally I am undecided on the idea. In a way I feel that commentating on non-gaming issue while having a backdrop of gaming seems a bit counter-intuitive. Again this is my personal opinion but I would rather having gaming discussion with "gaming" in the background and non-gaming discussion with non-gaming things in the background.

Though on the other side of this if you did add your face-cam it could be a way to bring these up as your playing, so it seems more like a spontaneous thing.
