I get demonitize february 20.. like wow.. youtube is getting lamer by the minute

Yep it seems like quite a few people will be hit with this, its a real shame they don't care about the smaller creators

the biggest hit isnt the demonotization,, its that demonotized videos automatically get pushed further down the search results by youtube

That is bad and sad news. I never knew YouTube would do something like this to small creators like us.
And this new rule is undoubtedly due to the internet star Logan Paul's controversial video.
However Yt changes I am determined to hit that goal and surpass it too.

I'm fairly certain that discussion was about more than that. Advertisers were going crazy last year, I'm fairly certain that the decision to change this was made way before that video.

Yes it does suck but don’t get your head down ou can still make videos and get remonitized we just have to work harder and help each other out. I was thinking and streaming is probably the fastest way to get your hours in. 3hour stream with only 5viewers is 15hours vs a 5min video with 12 viewers is only an hour watch time. So get to streaming. I just recently started youtube again so if you guys could check out channel and help me reach the threshold for the 1000subs then that would be great!!!hopefully I helped and don’t stop the grind

The real reason behind this change in monetization is to prevent people from stealing other people content to make money off of it.

I can kinda understand it from their PoV though. And it works as motivation!
