Help! Photoshop

Hey, When I make pictures on photoshop and then I want to save it, I will save it as a PNG/JPG file and it will save but the problem is that when I want to open it, it will say "Windows Photo Viewer can't open this picture because the file appears to be damaged, corrupted, or is to large." but I can perfectly download PNG/JPG pictures on the internet and open it and it works. so please help! thank you

Underneath File, Edit, Image etc. there should be "name".psd @ "number%" if it's 100% it won't work. how I fixed it when I was making my pictures, the Resolution was 100 which didn't work for 800x800 pixels, so I changed it to 300 and now it works.
