Do you guys know how to get paid content enabled for my channel?

your account has to be verified - the option is under channel under creator studio on your youtube - make sure it is verified - you will need a cell phone number to send it - it will send you a number - you enter it and your account will be verified. Only verified partnered youtube pages can have their videos monetized.

Yeah you don't need it mate

That feature means that your viewers will need to pay in order to view your content. You don't want it activated

It's not really useful if your channel does not have a hight amount of audience and alot of traffic.
