Anyone else weirded out by the new crop of SJW Marvel comics?
I'm a DC girl, but it feels as if the entire Marvel comics Universe has been infested by propaganda and politics. Shouldn't comics be something we can enjoy as entertainment? And not platforms for the write's political views?
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying social commentary is bad, one of my all time favourite Authors Terry Pratchett, used to do this all the time. He used his books (set in fictional Discworld) to showcase the situation in our world - using dialogue and events to subtly show it at its worse form. But always ALWAYS with humour. The books, despite having a sort of 'message' never derailed into just that. It was a great form of entertainment - ones I've returned to again and again over the years.
If your political agenda outshines the entertainment value of your comic, I think you have a problem.
