What do you use to make your thumbnails?

I need a simple yet powerful program that I can use to make thumbnails. What do you use to make your thumbnails?

I try to avoid using Photoshop as much as I can because I really get confused with its layout, but I completely forgot about GIMP. Thanks for sharing!

Using Photoshop just because I had it while doing design subjects for school. I'm sure the alternate free software can do the same things though. Maybe just look up some tutorials on making thumbnails I know it can be quite subjective as people have different tastes in what looks good.

I use photoshop CS2 and a thumbnail template that I downloaded a while back. Includes a bunch of optional layers, text, etc. and then I just get creative with it. It's been pretty helpful.

I usually go with Gimp, but if you want something which goes with more, I'd suggest grabbing photoshop if you can afford it.

I use Inkscape. Does the job for me, and very well too.
But if you wanna draw stuff, you could try Krita. Both software are free.
