Do YOU think Fallout 4 will make Game of The Year?

I really don't think that is a good point. It's essentially the same system just without the numbers and is now tied into perks. It's still as customizable as it was before, it's just done differently now. If anything, I would say it's a whole lot smarter system.

Agreed, but you have to realize .. the more options there are the longer it takes to make the game, or the more you have to rehash already used lines. Honestly, for me 4 options are plenty, especially now since it's a voiced protagonist.

I think that is a good thing. I typically hate games that make you repair weapons as it does nothing for the overall experience of the game. It's just one less boring thing that doesn't need to be done. It's not something that made a game harder, it wasn't something that made the game fun, it was just a mechanic there for the sake of being there.

As for the graphics. I really don't know what the hell everyone is complaining about. It looks fine. Who the heck cares if it's not as graphical as some AAA games out there. Not every damned game needs to look the same. As far as I can tell .. the game looks fine.

If I had any complaint about the game, it would be the performance of the game. Which I blame mostly on the crappy engine it runs on.

Ok, good points, and I agree :p But again, the reason I said these is because for me it does feel less like the rpgs that were the other games and feels more simplified like a more focused shooter even if the changes are good or not. When I think of the ones I said before, it feels simplified even if they are for the good.
With repairing, sure it felt like a mechanic just to be there, but it added to the feeling of being in a post-apocalyptic world. In reality guns do degrade, so you should better repair it using different guns, or even make it better.

The issue I have with the repairing mechanic is that in real life, things do not break as often as they would in a game. In fact, if it was realistic you would rarely ever have to repair to begin with. Which is why I think it's simply better to not have it at all.

Fair enough. Was thinking that since it is the post apocalyptic setting guns would break a lot faster, and there is the fact that, well, you are not great at repairing and thus you would need to have experience and be an expert in repairing so that your gun would not break as much in the end.

lol ... I don't know about that, but I suppose that could work as a roleplay to explain it. However, I don't see why guns would break anymore than they usually would. I suppose if it was damaged maybe, but then you would have to assume every gun in the game is damaged in practically the same manner. XD

I haven't played the first two. Never been interested in turn based. But this game is the better than 3 and New Vegas by a bunch. Graphics drastically improved. Bugs are alot better this time around. I haven't crashed out near as often as I had with the previous games. Bethesda really spent sometime with this one. It's definately a good candidate for Game of the Year. It's living up to all the hype (and there was alot of it) so far for me. Obviously....

I think it's between Bloodborne, Fallout 4, and MGS5. They're the AAA-titles that have gotten and deserved the most attention due to their excellence in gameplay in general.

I think Fallout 4 is an awesome game but is it game of the year? dunno. Yes there are flaws to it. The settlement building feels like a bit of a rush job on the developers part, the dialogue seems to have been dumbed down, and the RPG elements are dumbed down in favour of a more fps player friendly play style. I wont site the graphics cos in my view playing fallout 4 for the graphics is like watching a porn movie for the plot. But there's a lot of good in it. weapon and armour customising is awesome. And the way they did the power armour mechanic is a drastic improvement. The reason I'm unsure is because with games like MGSV out there fallout 4 isn't the only horse in the race
