Hi welcome to the forums.
(channel icon showing as error) this happened to me first then reread the instructions. On the page what shows youtube page you don`t insert the link of your channel if i recall you click something else what takes you to YouTube and copy and paste your YouTube account number. Then your channel will appear below.
